My Story

My autoimmune diseases began decades ago when I was a teenager.  After four surgeries, one pregnancy a cancer scare, the removal of an ovary and my appendix simultaneously caused me to throw in the towel on traditional medicine and go my own way.  And my way consisted of a more holistic and natural approach that included acupuncture, massage, herbal and supplement therapies, dietary changes coupled with a variety of stress management techniques that I change up to this day.  I’m so grateful these options were available to me to aid in my healing.

Over the years, through lots of trial and error to becoming a healthier version of myself,  I made a choice to take all this to a new level and I registered for an extensive year long program through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  As a graduate of the program, I have been a practicing Health Coach since 2012 and have gone on to become a Certified Autoimmune Coach as well as certified by the Medical Board of Examiners as a National Board Health and Wellness Coach.  It is my deepest desire to help those around me navigate their wellness goals, just as I did, through personalized lifestyle changes,  My formal education and life experiences, combined with years of studying the most well respected functional medicine practitioners combined with cutting edge coaching tools, have made me who I am today.

Random Facts About Me

I met my handsome hubby for the first time through an ex-boyfriend when I was 17 but we didn’t marry until I was 30!  As my soul mate and bestie, he encourages me daily to be the best version of myself.  Together we have 4 amazing, handsome, funny, intelligent young men who bring us so much joy.

I don’t consider myself “lucky” but rather blessed.  There are so many things in this life that I’m not deserving of, but I recognize that all of my treasured blessings are from above and I am forever grateful.

I am a sucker for smooth jazz and a glass of merlot – ok, maybe 2 glasses!  I discovered smooth jazz in my early 20’s and found that it made me happy, calm and energized all at the same time! Trifecta!!

One of my pet peeves is a thick rimmed mug.  Weird, right?!  But for that reason, you won’t find me eating at a diner because that’s what they use.

Having my toes in the sand is what brings me joy and peace.  It is a dream of mine and my husbands to one day be snowbirds to a place where the weather is hot with a warm breeze, the crashing of waves ring in our ears and the toasty sand is beneath our feet.  Our happy place!

My love language is gifting which is great news if you’re a client of mine 😊I love to surprise people with gifts at random times in their life.

We are a blended family of 6 with two beautiful daughter in loves and 2 handsome, crazy and fun grandsons who we enjoy spending every moment with that we can!
